TERRESTRIAL FLORA AND VEGETATION SURVEYS
Dinglebird Environmental botanists undertake flora and vegetation assessments on the Swan Coastal Plain, Southwest, Midwest, Goldfields (including Banded Iron Formation (BIF) ridges) and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. Flora and vegetation assessments include Level 1 and Level 2 flora and vegetation surveys (EPA,2004), vegetation condition assessments, and targeted searches for Declared Rare and Priority Flora species as part of Due Diligence and Environmental Impact Assessments.
Our flora assessments include:
- Taxonomic assessments and flora inventories
- Vegetation unit and condition mapping
- Collation and analysis of floristic data
- Floristic Community Type (FCT) and Threatened Ecological Community (TEC) identification
- Assessment of vegetation conservation significance
Our botanists have a sound knowledge of current floristic taxonomy, flora values across a wide range of Western Australian environments, and a detailed understanding of the EPA Guidelines, and State and Commonwealth regulatory expectations for conducting flora and vegetation assessments along with all of the necessary permits, resources and reporting required through liaison with the Department of Environment and Conservation and the Western Australian Herbarium.
